If you are looking for this laptop, i must tell you that, you’ve to compromise with its battery life. I’m using it since 18Oct 18, i noticed that it took 3H20M to reach 0 to 100% but completely exhausted in just 1H and 2H25M when i played low graphic game and watched a movie respectively. Performance is just okay. On 25oct got replaced but the the new one has the same issues I.e. low sound, and battery draining.

Do not buy this laptop if you are planning to use it with Windows 7 or 8.1. It only works with Windows 10 as per Lenovo. If you do not have Windows 10 (like me), you will be stuck with a non-functional and non-returnable product. Yes, Amazon refuses to take back this product because as per them it “works as described” – doesn’t matter that it doesn’t work as per the Customer’s needs!

I have opted this as a replacement for my 7 year old Dell Inspiron 15. Features that we’re attractive – price indeed, screen size, i3 6006U processor, optical drive, dedicated LAN port, sleek design and the finishing (lid looks like metallic), & ample storage (1TB)The i3 processor has Intel HD Graphics 520 that could play videos upto Full HD. However, faced some lag in case of 4K videos.Boot-up time is short and quick.The 4GB RAM is more than sufficient (using Windows 10) for everyday tasks.The battery backup is decent – up to 5 hrs during moderate use.Keyboard layout and key-stroke is good. The keyboard layout includes the power button, which takes time to adapt to.The new vent design enables to use the laptop even on uneven surfaces like bed, lap etc.Few aspects that could have been better :- power indication LED and charge status LED are on the left side (should have been on the front for better visibility)- there are only 2 USB ports (3.0) (which is less for the no. of gadets we have)- charger pin design feels fragile.- the hard disk makes significant click noise at times- the HD display is not so great & takes times to adjust ( inferior even when compared to my age old Dell Inspiron 15).Hope this helps you in your decision making process!

Those who just ignored the laptop by looking it into the pictures of the product, believe me, I was one of you in the beginning but as soon as started digging in and came to a final conclusion for buying it (the best competitor was Acer shift 3 but dropped it just because everyone near me was forcing me to go for Dell, Lenovo or Hp), I order it with a heavy heart. But when I opened up this laptop for the first time, my all heaviness gone away. Damn this is not a Chalu Chilar one, it looks damn premium and office stylish. I am loving it.Pros:1) Packing was good enough, tightly sealed2) The soft touch of keys askes me to keep typing and typing and typing.3) Ports are average fast, gave me a speed of even 105 mpbs during data transfers.4) The audio is awesome! Feels like playing Dolby speakers.5) The camera is good. Better than its competitors in the range.6) Weight is obviously very light and balanced.7) The screen has punchy colours and movies look sharp and decent.8) Fast, beautiful and responsive.Cons:1) Although not a con for me but maybe for many other users. Display angles are bad so tilting will allow you to see some black images nothing else. However, this is a benefit for me, as I don’t want others sitting beside me to see what I am doing!2) Display can’t get very bright so the outdoor would be difficult. But who uses a laptop outdoors obv except some, most users may work in a room or office so not an issue for me.3) The battery I felt is draining quite rapidly than other computers. Also takes time to charge. As I don’t work on the go much, it can be affordable for me.These are 2 days of usages experience. I will update you if I found any kind of bad experiences or grievances later. For now, it is awesome buy go for it.

Decent laptop but the wireless adaptor supports only b/g/n band only. So can connect only to 2.4GHz signal and get max 40MBPs speed. Even if you have a high speed / 100 MBPS connection, you will not be able to connect.

Comes in a good packaging. Surprisingly no bubble wraps. But box and product had no damage.Comes with windows 10 preinstalled. Have to restart few times for initial updates. As many buyers have reported windows activation is not there. Dont panic. Just click on troubleshoot below the activation. Windows will be activated.Now before you start enjoying the laptop please do not forget to register the product. Otherwise you wont have warranty. There is no warranty card in the box. It is online process.Then do not forget to register for the software freebies which come with your registration benefits.It works quite fast as expected out of the box. As we know from the specs it’s supposed to be quite a beast in performance. Let’s hope it lasts me 5 or more years without issues.Dont have much pros and cons. Barely got my hands on the product. Will update after some usage.Important: some people complaining that charging port not working. Actually it might be issue with windows update. Or it is settings in MSI dragon center to restrict charging after a certain percentage to save battery life. Please open MSI dragon centre app and check. I faced the same issue. This product has no good quality as I paid the amount for it.Tge laptop you have delivered me is not functioning properly .At 31.dec.2018 I talked to your customer service he told me that a technician will come to you at 2nd Jan 2019. and he will check the device and if their is any software problem then we will replace it but nobody came,I waited whole day ,I have lost my valuable time just because of you.Thus I can say that you are not providing better service to your customers.Customers are MONEY BANK FOR YOU. I am writing this review after using this laptop for about a month now, and I can say that this laptop is a very good companion for your every day needs.Let me say this first, this thing is not a powerhouse. But if you want you can do a little bit of gaming and video editing on this computer.So let me point out the pros and cons of this laptop.PROS1. LIGHT WEIGHT – This is a very light weight laptop, and you can easily carry it in your backpack. Also it’s very thin.2. BEAUTIFUL YET STURDY – Even though it’s built very beautifully, it doesn’t comprise on the sturdiness. The full body is made of aluminium.3. MATT SCREEN – It’s having a matt screen, that means the screen glare is minimal.4. LIGHTING FAST – Paired with NVIDIA GEFORCE MX150 and core i7(8th gen) and nvme SSD this is wicked fast.5. AWESOME KEYBOARD & NOT SO GOOD TRACKPAD – The keyboard has good travel distance and the trackpad is also good since it’s glass trackpad but it’s certainly not the best.6. DISPLAY – It’s a very good screen with good colour accuracy and the pictures looks stunning.7. SPEAKERS – This has to be the best part of the laptop. Tuned by Bang & Olufsen this speakers produce excellent sound quality and good bass. And there are 4 of them. 2 under and 2 on either side of top.8. GOOD I/O SELECTION – With 2 USB type A port (gen 3) and 1 type C port, this laptop is very good for productivity. Fingerprint scanner inclusion is also welcoming.9. QUICK CHARGING & EXCELLENT BATTERY- It support quick charging with its included adaptor and it also charges via type C port (but very slowly). The battery life is also awesome, I get about 6 hours of screen on time with moderate use.10. LITTLE THINGS – Privacy screen is a good addition. HP’s software support is very good with frequent updates. 8 GB RAM is very sufficient and quick even thought it’s DDR3 MEMORY.CONS1. THERMALS – This laptop gets very hot especially when it’s charging and this can be uncomfortable for some people.2. TRACKPAD – The trackpad driver is provided by Synaptics and it’s okay but as I said there is room for improvement.3. NO HDMI PORT – Even though it has almost every port and l know type C is a universal port but it would have been nice to see HDMI port as it has the space for that.4. POOR WEBCAM – The webcam quality is very poor. It’s like a camera from 2000s.5. LOW BRIGHTNESS – The screen doesn’t get bright enough to use it outdoors.6. PRICE – At ₹89000, this HP Envy 13 is not cheap. But it’s lot cheaper than the Dell XPS 13. But remember it’s the non-touch version. But I’m not complaining.I brought this laptop after a lot of research and before I brought this I considered HP Envy 13 AMD version, Lenovo YOGA 530, Dell Inspiron 7386, LG Gram etc, but I am very happy with my purchase and find it value for money. I bought the Windows 10 + Office + 256 GB SSD at less than 41k after Rs. 7.3k for old laptop + Rs. 1500 instant cashback HDFC offer and 6 months No Cost EMI (Rs. 6860 per month). I am convinced you cannot get this configuration at a better price. Sound quality is great. Full HD is awesome (for movies and videos). I am not a gamer, so I am unable to comment on suitability for gaming. Boots is under 5 secs due to SSD. According to benchmark websites, an i5 8th Gen is almost as good as i7 8th Gen in terms of performance, so it meets my requirements (Programming, multi-tasking etc). Free MS Office and Windows 10 lifetime. It has a DVD Writer too. It has 8GB RAM and you can add 8 GB more after you receive it. It has an additional M2 slot in which you can add another SSD – no need to remove the DVD writer. I still cannot believe I got all of this in 41k. What are you waiting for?

I wanted to buy a laptop with 16 GB RAM and fast SSD. You usually dont get that config in this price range, You need to shell out like 75k plus to get that config. So i did lot of research and found out that only HP gives M.2 slot in this price range, which can be used to insert SSD and you can keep the existing HD as well. So i have upgraded my machine with these two new additions.Crucial 8GB DDR4-2400 SODIMMSamsung 970 Evo Series – 250GB PCIE NVME – M.2 Internal SSDYou usually dont get that info on product description. I had to refer laptop manuals to make sure that this laptop has M.2 slot.FYI – All HP laptop with ds00XXX series has M.2 slot.

Pros: Premium look + took 2 to 4 minutes initial boot time but later on drop to 1 minute that’s fine. + speaker quality is good + opened multiple tabs but didn’t hang once obviously becz of 8GB ram it has. + Got Windows 10 installed & easy steps to install drivers. + Graphics are good + charge 100% within 2 hours.Cons: Build quality is not Good (Getting scratches) + sometimes Touchpad doesn’t work + MS office 30 days trial only + battery last for 3.5 hours with normal usage with 60% brightness.Overall find value for money. paid online on 11oct,2018 got 10% cashback as well.bought at Net Rs. 47k can definitely recommend to others .

I wanted to buy a laptop with 16 GB RAM and fast SSD. You usually dont get that config in this price range, You need to shell out like 75k plus to get that config. So i did lot of research and found out that only HP gives M.2 slot in this price range, which can be used to insert SSD and you can keep the existing HD as well. So i have upgraded my machine with these two new additions.Crucial 8GB DDR4-2400 SODIMMSamsung 970 Evo Series – 250GB PCIE NVME – M.2 Internal SSDYou usually dont get that info on product description. Decent laptop but the wireless adaptor supports only b/g/n band only. So can connect only to 2.4GHz signal and get max 40MBPs speed. Even if you have a high speed / 100 MBPS connection, you will not be able to connect.

This happens when you trust blindfolded the names like Amazon & HP. I bought this device as I looked at it as an elite class product from HP, but I was completely wrong. I bought it through Amazon, as I knew that there won’t be any catch or hidden terms for buying such expensive product. Well…. I was terribly wrong. After purchasing this over expensive product from HP, I realized that it’s performance is no different than any other i3 or i5 8th gen. Although it has 8gb ddr4 RAM, yet the device always fails in starting/booting up fast. Only attraction is it’s face recognition, and that too if you show your face in the same posture that you stored. Battery life sucks… hardly 2hrs use and it gets drained out. Battery also requires a very long time to recharge it back. I have been using a Macbook pro 14′ since past 4 years, and that old laptop has battery 4 times better than this.After I found it not worth keeping, I requested Amazon for an exchange. However, instead of returning the product the initiated a Troubleshooting service. And after wasting the entire week, they finally told me that the product can NOT be returned. It is sad to see a brand like Amazon completely ignoring their loyal clients.Overall… I will not recommend anyone to purchase this overpriced item and rather go for other brands like DELL.

Everything is fine except significant backlight bleeding at bottom corners which is not acceptable at this price range especially on such a good panel.Killer wifi issue – not able to get the full speed of my wifi network even after having each and every type of update done.Warranty – not being able to get warranty on dell’s website.

I am writing this review after using this laptop for about a month now, and I can say that this laptop is a very good companion for your every day needs.Let me say this first, this thing is not a powerhouse. But if you want you can do a little bit of gaming and video editing on this computer.So let me point out the pros and cons of this laptop.PROS1. LIGHT WEIGHT – This is a very light weight laptop, and you can easily carry it in your backpack. Also it’s very thin.2. BEAUTIFUL YET STURDY – Even though it’s built very beautifully, it doesn’t comprise on the sturdiness. The full body is made of aluminium.3. MATT SCREEN – It’s having a matt screen, that means the screen glare is minimal.4. LIGHTING FAST – Paired with NVIDIA GEFORCE MX150 and core i7(8th gen) and nvme SSD this is wicked fast.5. AWESOME KEYBOARD & NOT SO GOOD TRACKPAD – The keyboard has good travel distance and the trackpad is also good since it’s glass trackpad but it’s certainly not the best.6. DISPLAY – It’s a very good screen with good colour accuracy and the pictures looks stunning.7. SPEAKERS – This has to be the best part of the laptop. Tuned by Bang & Olufsen this speakers produce excellent sound quality and good bass. And there are 4 of them. 2 under and 2 on either side of top.8. The battery life is also awesome, I get about 6 hours of screen on time with moderate use.10. LITTLE THINGS – Privacy screen is a good addition. HP’s software support is very good with frequent updates. 8 GB RAM is very sufficient and quick even thought it’s DDR3 MEMORY.CONS1. THERMALS – This laptop gets very hot especially when it’s charging and this can be uncomfortable for some people.2. TRACKPAD – The trackpad driver is provided by Synaptics and it’s okay but as I said there is room for improvement.3. NO HDMI PORT – Even though it has almost every port and l know type C is a universal port but it would have been nice to see HDMI port as it has the space for that.4. POOR WEBCAM – The webcam quality is very poor. It’s like a camera from 2000s.5. LOW BRIGHTNESS – The screen doesn’t get bright enough to use it outdoors.6. PRICE – At ₹89000, this HP Envy 13 is not cheap. But it’s lot cheaper than the Dell XPS 13. But remember it’s the non-touch version. But I’m not complaining.I brought this laptop after a lot of research and before I brought this I considered HP Envy 13 AMD version, Lenovo YOGA 530, Dell Inspiron 7386, LG Gram etc, but I am very happy with my purchase and find it value for money. Have been using it for a couple of weeks. So far, so good.Excellent looks and superfast perfomance. The anti glare full HD IPS display is a thing of beauty with great viewing angles. Have been getting 7-8 hours of battery backup with mixed usage. Yet to try out for gaming.

The best laptop with HP Quality & CS which can be provided at this range.From mid-gaming to programming – specially when running Android Studio , it doesn’t lag.Sound is also great, it provides 30% minimum sound at it’s max compared to a 30Watt 2.1When you’ve turned up the power saver mode (in case using Windows) , it provides standby hoto 8 hours. In case ,its fully charged, I can full-charge my Nokia 5.1 by USB in standby 3+ times.If you want to unleash full power of this beast, you need to attach one 128/256GB SSD and one 8GB ram more & you’re good to go!
